It's possible that Frontier may gave our faction (Sirius Inc) an in-game tag on the galactic map. Due to unforeseeable circumstances (accidental submission of draft copy), we have a limited window (24 hours?) to discuss possible revisions...
Headquarters of Sirius Inc., a former Sirius Corporation industrial colony. This fledgling democracy has recently gained independence, after years of benign neglect by Sirius Corp. The people of San feel a strong affinity with Sirius Corporation, and preserve the trappings of corporate governance (including Sirius Corporation IP). Sirius Corp. has yet to comment on this, rather egregious, trademark infringement.
EDIT: This is not the draft which was submitted. I'm trying to emphasize the disconnect between name/type (essential details). Something too descriptive/wordy may be rejected.

Flexo suggested a possible revision to me, through TS:
This fledgling democracy recently gained independence, after years of benign neglect by Sirius Corp. (current)
After years of benign neglect by Sirius Corp., this fledgling democracy recently gained independence. (revised/reversed).
I'm going to mull this over for awhile.

We probably wont be able to mention the other minor faction. I might suggest After years of benign neglect by its previous parent corporation, this system recently achieved indepdance

You really think so? This is going to a difficult re-write. Notice all the instances of "Sirius Corp."

How about this...
Headquarters of Sirius Inc., a business-minded industrial colony. This fledgling democracy has recently gained independence, after years of benign neglect by their parent corporation. The people of San feel a strong affinity with their "corporate founders", and preserve the trappings of corporate governance (including corporate name, titles, and other IP). The parent corporation has yet to comment on this, rather egregious, trademark infringement.
EDIT: And just a thought... do you think we might have improved chances (of this being seen, and properly implemented) if we all sent identical message(s) to Frontier?

As for the letter to Frontier... I have not seen the previous message(s), so I have no idea what has been discussed. I assume that Zac & Company are overworked, understaffed, and probably suffering from mild PTSD. I want to make this easy for them... so I made a rough draft of "open letter" we could (potentially) attach our CMDR names & contact info. Forgive any overlap/inconsistency with previous messages... I just want closure after all the mistakes FDev have made. Dear xxx, We are contacting you as the founder (and active members) of "Sirius Inc", a player group with associated proxy minor faction. If you do not remember us, our group was assigned the wrong government type (Democracy, when we clearly requested Corporate) several weeks ago. You then apologized, and implemented our "other" proxy minor, "SI Terraforming", as a kind of apology. To our shock/bewilderment, SI Terraforming was ASSIGNED DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT (the same mistake you made with "Sirius Inc"). This disconnect between name ("Sirius Inc"... clearly corporate) and government type has prompted numerous questions, ridicule, and complete revision of our internal lore. Since a change of faction name/type seems unlikely, once placed in the game, we humbly suggest a compromise solution: give "Sirius Inc" a descriptive tag on galactic map, which explains these odd circumstances. An advance draft of this proposal was sent to you, in error. Here is the revised copy...a collaborative/DEMOCRATIC effort: Headquarters of Sirius Inc., a business-minded industrial colony.
You may find the relevant thread on our forum: joved.freeforums.net/thread/213/game-description-proposal-urgentThis would mean a great deal to our members, and neatly explain your mistakes without the need for serious alterations. Respectfully, CMDR Ollobrains, CMDR McCaslin CMDR ...
