Ok seems Fdev are still fine tuning the background sim, after no movements for 5 days, it seems now the daily moves are capped at 5% influence changes regardless of population amounts. ( up till last week low pop were much easier to spin than large systems)
One reason we chose the outlying fringe, is we could affect change without needing 500 players. As it stands and ill update if things start to change. But our shift to group operations, UA retrieval, role play stuff and my little 3 day exploration trip might be something we need to mix it up with for a week or two until Fdev take the limiting moves (handcuffs perhaps). Keep an eye on it, but we dont need to devote 8 hours a day in terms of shifting it.
I think economic states and other background sim stuff isnt as affected ( upgrading security, mining, trading, exploration data, and the non influence effects of missions)
So we can focus there as well. Its a little bit of a nuiscence but im sure it will be short term until frontier work the bugs out and then we can return to our activities.
Expanding sirius hyperspace out of ngalia is a thing we can do though ( turn in bounties, trade export/import with the stations, trading and missions for SH)

Mining seems to be a viable option, as well. We're going to take a break from it... but that pristine metallic ring is a wonderful asset!
