Fellow Stakeholders,
The situation here, in Ngalia, is far worse than we imagined. I arrived (incognito), to find a system in turmoil. Sirius Hyperspace is under siege by human traffickers of the "Ngalia Family". Our Merger/Acquisition teams are mostly accounted for, but confined to NBC shelters on Ngalia 1. As for the management of Sirius Hyperspace... their fate remains uncertain. Thus far, I have met exactly 3 SH employees: a custodian, a junior executive, and a zero-gravity welder. SH Central Office, aboard Green Enterprise, is largely abandoned... and the archives have strong encryption. I am confident that Van Marnix (SI Cryptographer) can break it... given enough time. Until he does, I will coordinate the defense of Green Enterprise.

UPDATE: The entire Ngalia system is a battlefield, with no less than 11 conflict zones (4 high-intensity, 7 low-intensity). I never expected that a petty regional syndicate could threaten the Sirius brand. In better times, a response from Sirius Corp would be forthcoming. We may be operating without the explicit approval, or support, of our parent corporation for the duration of this conflict. As for the spreadsheet boffins of Sirius Gov, they care little for what happens "on the frontier". The performance of SH System Defense is superb, given their lack of C2 (command and control) infrastructure. At least these SH personnel did not abandon Ngalia! I finally received access to their secure comm. channel... after "proving my good intentions". Their fears are not baseless... the Ngalia Family has a reputation for using brainwashed infiltrators and human plague-vectors ("Typhoid Marie's"). -CMDR McCaslin Attachments:

UPDATE: I witnessed an act of terrorism yesterday, shortly after my last report. A young girl, no more than 8 years old, detonated herself near the SH commissary. Damage from the explosion was minimal, but all bystanders who were not protected by a RemLock suit have been placed in quarantine. Very often, these low-yield explosive charges are used to disperse biological agents. Afterwards, I retreated to the safety of my Python. Sleep did not come easily, even with pharmaceuticals. The behavior of enemy vessels is inscrutable. Mercenaries do not typically fight to the death; the Ngalia Family does. I have disabled numerous vessels (near Tall Enterprise), but none have yielded to my demands (ie: retract weapons & vacate the system). I truly hate unnecessary bloodshed... and waste of company resources. Thankfully, the Ngalia Troubles should be over soon. Our newest associates, CMDR Mendelt and CMDR flexo, have joined the defenders of Ngalia. They traveled to Ngalia on short notice, and waived their HDP (Hazardous Duty Pay). Truly, these brave pilots epitomize what it is... to be Sirius. -CMDR McCaslin

UPDATE: During my final sortie with CMDR Mendelt and CMDR Flexo, a truce was abruptly declared by the principal combatants. Our wing continued to operate for another 45 minutes, supported by elements of the SH Defense Force. I believe that peace talks were initiated by members of the Sirius Hyperspace management team (in hiding). Undoubtedly, the Ngalia Family used their bio-plague as a bargaining chip. At least 300 people were infected with an unknown pathogen. I am not happy with this state-of-affairs, but all we can do is brace ourselves for the next round of hostilities.
