... I don't now how this compares to other systems, but I have seen NPC miners (in multiple instances) churning fragments with 20%++ osmium content. Attachments:

20% is decent. You can get up to 50 or 55%. I usually don't bother with anything lower than 30 :-) What do we need Osmium for? Is the HIP 8396 CG finally live?

Potentially always good , also it might be useful to sell osmisum and panite on the local industrial market in san and pic tok once we have it to help the background simulation stats for our player faction. Panite is one that raises wealth feeds into booms, osmisum will raise development which fuels expansion and helps to build our factions military fleets.
And once horizons hit it may be important for player crafted unique weapons and other benefits.

Makes sense, osmium is the stuff they use to build ship hulls. I clearly need read up on the background sim though.
I'm doing a tour of the outer Sirus Corp planets right now with scanners installed (forgot them last time I was there) So I should be able to figure out where to mine for Painite and Osmium. Hip 8396 is no good. No pristine metallic rings there, pristine metal rich is the best I could find but as far as I know you wont get anything better than Silver there, may need to do some testing though. Next up is Almagest. After that Robigo. But if there is already osmium there that sounds like a Metallic ring. Curious if it's pristine, but it would surprise me if it wasnt so far out.

Just look for planets with pristine reserves then use a detailed surface scanner to find metallic rings. That's where you can find very high percentages of painite, platinum and palladium. I'm flying around in the Robigo system now. The ring with the RES site is a metal rich instead of metallic so it seems you can find Osmium there too. No Painite though.
I'll just expand my search for uninhabited systems after this and report back what I find. Maybe make a spreadsheet or something with systems with good mining spots.

Sounds good now we just need more miners to join our cause
