I've winged up with a couple of other players before to do mining. This makes mining a lot more profitable, quicker and most importantly more enjoyable. I did most of my mining in 3 Corvi and HIP 21991 before, nice systems with pristine metallic rings. I'm planning to try out mining near Ceos and Sothis now that I've joined this group. There should be lots of good mining systems there so far from the bubble. So if anyone there wants to wing up, get their hands dirty and make some credits let me know!
I'll type out a short wing mining tutorial later if anyone is interested. There are a couple of tricks to it that make it work better.

Good idea, at the moment we are focusing on san and pic tok. Add me cmdr ollobrains, u can add ben ryder, jay cee and incongent(not his ingame though) and feel free if u like to setup a sirius inc sponsered mining wing.
If you are interested we can name you our director of mining as a title of sorts and u can assist us in building up some mining wings, let me know if youre interested ( and feel free to invite friends to join our group we are all pro role play and group ops)
But unlike eve online we cant have 50 man - 500 man mining ops so we will have to name quite a few mining commanders as our group grows and go from there.
Fun idea still

I think that even 2 people would be more efficient (and fun) than solo mining. To my untrained eye, mining is something you want/need an escort for (?)
I'm CMDR McCaslin in-game. We're in different time zones, but you're welcome to add me! Even among Solo/offline players, information-sharing is great...

Great! I'll add you guys tonight if I have time to play.
I'll organize some mining related activities and we'll see how it goes from there. I'd love to be mining director so I guess I'll just try to work my way up the company hierarchy and see if I get promoted :-D
