yeah lowered to 400,000 my guess is they want at least 15 units or came under some pressure when the turnout was a bit less than expected. Still its good they have adjusted things to make it worthwhile

Tier 2 is realistic... I'm not sure about tier 3 (20 allocation).

Is there anything we can do to encourage participation? Maybe offer to give newcomers their fill of Palladium?

Yeah after reading the offical forums it would appear fdev pushed the timeframe out to co incide with the 1.4 deployment on the 5th or 6th of october. So we should get tier 4 quite easily now
Its good news

Hi everyone. After nearly a week, my source of gold (Ch'ortamaye) seems to be drying up. But after a little bit of searching, I found another source: HIP 11847. This system is 317 ly from Sothis. Rochon Vision has price <8800, high supplies (600+). The other station has price of 9200; better supply volume. Attachments:

Hello... My previous "gold vein" systems, Ch'ortamaye and HIP 11847, now have reduced supplies & profitability. I have cast a slightly broader net (<350 ly), and found a number of stations offering gold <9300/ton, and in decent quantity. I will post EDDB links below... eddb.io/system/9118, eddb.io/station/5057, eddb.io/station/22272, etc. I will look for others, after I make this run to Sothis. <350 ly, and <8900/ton may still be possible, even with the "gold rush" being simulated.

thanks there incognet, given weve got 100 guests per day youre posts are well recieved, a lot of them havent registered yet and id like to welcome them to join us in any capacity at sirius inc. As u know theres a couple of member only forums
Im always open to creating new subforums if members want to have a new catagory of things to discussion. And we welcme new registered members to create their own threads.
Again thanks for coming to sothis to help us out we should hit tier 3 and maybe tier 4 which will secure 20-30 units of sohtis gold rare and make the trip well worthwhile for commanders going forward.

I found it! 343 ly from Sothis, and <8800/ton for gold. Good supply volume, as well... eddb.io/station/39906Yes, the station is 3176 ls from the nav buoy, but otherwise... it's the best source of gold I can find for purposes of this CG.

If anyone is curious, this is what actual crystalline gold looks like... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold#/media/File:Gold-crystals.jpgEdit: If you missed the caption... these are "synthetic gold crystals made by the chemical transport reaction in chlorine gas." Sothis Crystalline Gold is produced by "...exposing ordinary gold to the gas emitted by the thermal vents lining the sea-beds of Sothis A5..." Compared with other rare goods, this one is actually plausible!

well im wondering how this rare good may interact with the background sim.
If u shipped it to antoher system, for one it would tie in with metal class ( so development )
I would also predict that it would not be a wealth raising thing but could boost the technology class of a system, therefore influencing development and maybe standard of living or any hidden industrial development indicators.
Of course along with gallite if this is the case as a group we should start exporting it to the 160LY range systems i think takurua or almagest tie in with this. Even robigo taking sothis gold rare and gallite exports while not profitable could be a test of the background simulation changes. Im installing 1.4 now so its going to be a few hours before i am able to login but we are doing well.
Feel free if youre in there incognet and i think ben ryder is making a post about takurua ( ive agreed to flip it to dictatorship to assist the antal powerplay peeps) It will also open up new exports from that system with the government change - though sirius corp will become a minor entity in that system for now its a political bargin and we can focus our attentions in sothis / Ceos / Te kaha and of course the 4 capital systems near sol of sirius, proycon, luytons star and avik which as far as the overall corporation goes have higher population/wealth/station types for the sirus corporation profile which fund the terraforming colonies. And our agreement with hudson PP to spread sirius corporation as a minor system entity and to take over any dictatorship systems within their space that dont have a federation presense is also good business snese.

Hmm... I am having difficulty obtaining a full 20 allocation of Crystalline Gold. The market is stalled, after I bought just 3 tons... no refresh, and I have been waiting for 20 minutes! Was this mentioned in the changelog? EDIT: It's a known bug forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=188445
